Woodside Energy I 2025 First Nations Pre Pathways Traineeship I Karratha Residential Short Description We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated First Nations individuals to join the Woodside Energy Traineeship Program, based at Karratha Gas Plant, commencing in February 2025. Programmed is committed to improving employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. ABOUT THE ROLE The Pre-Pathways Traineeship is an entry point and pathway program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. Throughout the Pre-Pathways Traineeship, you will gain skills and experience to prepare you for a career in the oil and gas industry. You will learn about different career pathways within the industry, rotating through different workgroups at Woodside's Burrup facilities. This includes working alongside qualified electricians and mechanical fitters in the Maintenance team and exposure to the operations and operations support teams. We will provide you with on-the-job training, and an opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of the Woodside production processes. Upon successful completion of the Pre-Pathways Traineeship (9 months), participants can then apply and progress into one of the Woodside apprenticeship pathway. The Pre-Pathways Traineeship program has been running for more than 5 years, providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders with the platform and opportunity to build their own great careers at Woodside.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU There are no specific trade requirements, however applicants will need to demonstrate: Position is open to applicants who live locally in the City of Karratha, or can demonstrate a strong connection and commitment to the local community.
A good level of physical fitness and commitment to maintaining their health and wellbeing.
A genuine interest and motivation to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry
A strong willingness to learn
A desire to further their career
The ability to work in a team
Ability to fulfil requirements to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card
A current "C" class driver licence or demonstrated progress towards obtaining this licence
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening test
