About the role

• This is a Full time, Permanent role where you will work 7.6 hours x 5 days a week (6AM Starts)

• Provide administrative support to our workshops across the country including raising purchase orders to vendors and maintaining compliance standards and documentation

• Work closely with Schedulers to ensure 3rd party work is booked in promptly and accurately

• Word processing and data entry, and ensuring all records are kept and well documented

• Processing of workshop labour onto work orders, and accounting for daily, weekly and monthly business deadline and data submissions

• Ensuring all major expenditure is approved before purchase

• Processing administrative tasks for 3rd party maintenance, and using our inhouse systems to capture vehicle maintenance data accurately.

• Processing of service tasks and receipting into UNIBIS systems

• Receipting of orders into Unibis system of 3rd party maintenance, inventory and other type orders

• Reporting and Investigating Safety Incidents and Near Misses as they occur

About the role

• Unload and load vehicles manually and sort them appropriately and safely

• Scanning freight, freight sortation and re-palletising of freight

• Picking and preparing runs for following day

• Palletizing freight for travel where required

• Ensuring the correct movement and distribution of freight in a timely manner.

• Carry out all duties within set time frames and follow instructions closely.

• Identifying damages and reporting in accordance with site process

• Ensure compliance and safety is always adhered to.

• Must have a safety-first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently.

• Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes.

• Restraining loads safely as well as the correct use of straps where required.

Specifically, you will focus on establishing and maintaining standards for operational activities to achieve continual improvement in the areas of mine site safety, environmental controls, cost, quality and production efficiency.

As the superintendent you will be leading, engaging and developing both an internal team of Supervisors and operational crews working on continuous12-hour shifts, as well as directing and responsible for the safety and contract management of a sub-contractor workforce along with the functional support staff, setting the strategic direction for the efficient coordination of the production shifts and working closely with the mine site maintenance team to optimise equipment use and availability.

About the Role

Team Global Express is currently seeking a lively, friendly, and driven individual eager to join our Administration Team on a Permanent Basis at our Karawatha Location on Brisbane’s Southside. This role offers you the opportunity to join a vibrant team and provide administrative support to our Operations staff on a daily basis to meet our compliance and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Job Requirements

• This is a Full time, Permanent role where you will work 7.6 hours x 5 days a week (AM Starts)

• Provide general administration, data entry and office support to the wider team where required

• Scan and file office work and documentation, and be able to handle sensitive information in a responsible and compliant manner

• Utilise our systems to complete administration and data entry tasks 

• Process core operational data entry (connotes) correctly into our system each day

• Prioritise your work effectively and efficiently throughout the day and complete tasks in a timely manner

• Provide administrative support to the wider operations team where required

• Maintain staff, training and compliance databases where required

• Manage spreadsheet trackers, reports and other compliance documents in order to cleanse, update and maintain them on a regular basis

• Precise data entry skills and excellent attention to detail are a must to be successful in this role

• Previous experience in transport and logistics is preferred but not mandatory. Full scope training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

The Opportunity:

As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day engineering and logistics activities in accordance with our clients’ engineering management system. The project you are supporting delivers integrated cross-class sustainment services, expert advice, and quality asset management.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake requirements engineering activities.
• Undertake design activities as part of the preliminary design and detailed design stages.
• Draft or provide input towards the development of statements of work for acquisition.
• Conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as part of engineering change management activities.
• Implement the system safety program and perform safety engineering activities.
• Develop or provide input towards the development of service requirements as part of maintenance definition.
• Identify items of supply required for codification and liaise with the logistics office to complete codification and cataloguing.
• Logistics support analysis.
• Undertake sparing analysis.
• Perform technical investigations.
• Provide engineering support such as SQEP review, engineering advice, and engineering support for trials.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Defence industry or similar position.
• Eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance on relevant ship systems.
• AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.

Desirable:

• Experience in Defence Industry.
• Experience in Marine Systems and structure.

• Keeping trucks in a clean and maintainable condition, whilst also keeping the yard and your personal work area tidy

• Must be able to complete your own vehicle pre-start checks

• Form and nurture relationships within the market to support development of new and ongoing repeat work for the business
• Involvement in early-game positioning and complete pre-tender plans so as to improve the company’s probability of success prior to the tender brief arriving (via points of differences and value-adds).

• Accountable, typically as a Design manager/Project leader, for the successful project delivery of KBR’s contracted services to the client against cost, time, and quality objectives

JOB SUMMARY:

The main focus for the Purchasing Administrator is responsible for supporting the National Parts team with the branch networks’ daily purchasing requirements.

This role communicates directly with suppliers and carriers to confirm and follow up orders both locally and internationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

• Raising Purchase Orders as per agreed process
• Emailing Purchase Orders to suppliers in a professional manner
• Accessing inventory database across JLG USA / Europe systems
• Checking all pricing and dates to ensure accuracy
• Selecting freight service to match requirements of customer/branch
• Chasing up ETA’s on outstanding orders with suppliers, and updating system and team members
• Handling all internal and external enquires
• Cross checking invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy
• Maintain registers and databases
• Other administrative and ad hoc duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Proven experience within a purchasing/customer service department
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to follow up
• Highly organised and structured, able to deal with multiple tasks and competing priorities
• Outstanding attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Intermediate computer skills

• Tertiary/T.A.F.E: Electrical engineering trade or Certificate III in Electrical Fitting

• A Grade Electrical Licence

• Driver’s Licence

• Minimum 2 years’ experience post-apprenticeship.  

• Unafraid to work hands on with the Mechanical Technician where its safe, reasonable and in line with qualifications.

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Possess basic computer literacy skills.

The Opportunity:

As a senior member of the maritime engineering team you will be responsible for technical oversight and assurance incorporating configuration control and material support.  This is a critical function that will cross all areas of the sustainment program.  You will advise on issues of technical integrity, engineering deviations and complex engineering risk.   Working alongside the Principal Engineer your role will be to mitigate risk and be a compliance representative.

• Actively seek efficiencies and business practices to reduce the cost of ownership and risk to support maritime objectives through engineering excellence.
