About the Role

The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practises to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As a SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom’s endpoint customer base.

What you will do

As a SOE Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including SCCM and Intune
• Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
• Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
• Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
• Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
• Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM)
• Experience with Packaging desktop applications and configure them for streamlined deployment
• Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
• Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
• Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
• Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
• Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
• Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
• Assist with projects as required and act as the lead
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
• Experience in macOS operating systems using JAMF would be advantageous

• Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles

What you will bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years’ experience in a similar SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, Jamf, and Azure Virtual Desktop). You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.

About the Role

Our Customer Centric Managed Services team provide a wide range services to our Clients. We are seeking a knowledgeable all-rounder in Hardware and End User Technology to ensure we deliver value to our customers and internal stakeholders through the delivery of high-quality Hardware Asset Management services, with the goal of optimising the purchase, deployment, utilisation, replacement and disposal of hardware for Datacom customers.

What you’ll do

• Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality Hardware Asset Management Services:
• Daily administration of the Hardware Asset Management activities
• Ensure compliance across Datacom and customer HAM policies, processes, procedures.
• Ensure that delivery teams, customers and process participants adhere to the HAM processes in line with customer requirements and ITIL Best Practices
• Implement and Manage the Configuration Management System, including CMDB and AMDB
• Responsible for maintaining asset information in the AMDB/CMDB to deliver IT Services.
• Assist in co-ordinating the logistics of the hardware lifecycle including collection, replacement, return or disposal of laptops.
• Ensure all HAM policies, process, procedures, work instructions, user guides and customised appendices are documented, reviewed, updated, and published on an annual basis or earlier if required.
• Lead Audits and work collaboratively with Internal and External Stakeholders to ensure accurate data is provided.
• Facilitate the provision of sound consulting advice to the customer as required, and assist them in the identification of solutions for its business requirements in relation to HAM.
• Ownership of the end-to-end hardware request management processes for the customer ensuring there are no process gaps, and leading regular forums with all process participants.
• Implement robust processes to ensure all devices deployed are recorded in the HAM Tool
• Work with internal procurement teams & stakeholders to deliver on business requests.
• Develop & maintain asset management processes & procedures.
• Daily monitoring and management of HAM process compliance including customer SLA and KPIs and health reporting as required or requested by management
• Escalate risks discovered in, or affecting, the HAM service and delivery of services and ensure they are documented with the SDM, Account Teams, reported in the customer's monthly reports (where applicable) and tracked in Customer Operations Risk Registers.

About the Role: 

In this role, you support a broad team of staff responsible for the maintenance, repair and incident response of critical services and systems covering Electrical, Mechanical and Fire. The Service Technician – Shift Team role will be the first to respond to alerts and alarms, assign the severity, prioritise the rectification and determine whether escalation is required to third party contractors.

Shift team members will proactively perform inspections to ensure all critical infrastructure is operating as designed and identify any possible risk to the infrastructure and buildings. The position will monitor the critical infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be able to make quick decisions on prioritisations and escalations based on their experience. The shift team assists with the monitoring of all contractors conducting critical work and ensures strict adherence to processes and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

• Promptly responding to service requests and emergency faults.
• Conduct initial fault finding, determine causes, and implement remedies.
• Communicate repair timelines with internal teams for coordinated client communications.
• Perform critical switching to prevent disruptions in case of equipment failure.
• Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance, daily site reviews, and adherence to safety policies.

 About You: 

We are looking for a passionate person who has a trade or tertiary qualification in relevant fields (Electrical, Refrigeration, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Fire, Telecommunications).

• Proven experience/ exposure in trade or critical facilities.
• Prior experience in critical infrastructure environments with adherence to strict procedures.
• Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Exposure to data center equipment, including CRAC units, UPS, generators, and fire systems.
• Demonstrated skills in managing critical infrastructure, utilizing electronic monitoring systems, fault-finding, and contributing to process improvements.

You’ll scope and define design approaches, prototype and design digital interfaces, and create pathways for change through effective design and storytelling.

You have in-depth knowledge and experience in visual and communication design in diverse contexts and mediums. Knowledge and experience in applying human-centred design methodologies to achieve design outcomes is essential.

What you will do:

Show impact through design practice

• Tackle design problems that range from well-defined to ambiguous
• Solve client problems by applying a variety of design and creative approaches
• Use conceptual thinking to respond to user and client needs
• Use sketching, wireframing and prototyping to communicate and test possible futures for products, services, and physical/digital touchpoints
• Use design research to test ideas and inform design decisions and rationale
• Support the design and facilitation of online and in-person workshops
• Use customer journeys, service blueprints and experience maps as a way to uncover challenges and opportunities
• Collaborate on qualitative research (interviewing and sense-making) and turn insights into actionable plans for the client
• Document your work in design systems and brand guidelines.

• You can create detailed designs and communicate the design rationale both verbally and visually to drive change within an organisation

Essential skills and experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a product design, UX/UI, communications design, graphic design or human-centred design role;
• Excellent skills with Figma, Adobe Suite, and other no-code prototyping services;
• Experience using and creating design systems and brand guidelines;
• You can show at least one project where you designed and conducted qualitative research with the users of a product, service or policy;
• You can tailor outputs and design communication to meet client needs;
• You are willing to travel to conduct research if required;
• You will help us to design and build a positive, collaborative, inclusive studio culture;
• Fluent in written and spoken English; and
• Full and current working rights for Australia.

Remuneration

The salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $110,000, depending on your experience.
