Be able to understand and complete works to specifications.
Be able to mix correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
Proper appropriation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage
Select paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
Understand the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and be able to achieve specified dry film thickness.
Able to carry out minor repairs as and when deemed necessary
Use different tools and brushes to apply paints with attention to details
Be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Erecting scaffolding and ladders.
Cleaning equipment and work areas.
Support other team members to ensure completion of projects are on-time and in accordance to specification.

Trade Certificate –Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters)
High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift
Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs)
HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift
Drivers Licence (MR or HR class)
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills

SKILLS REQUIRED

RESPONSIBILTIES:
As the Transport Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing the efficiency of the Mareeba depot while adhering to the rules under the CoR. DUTIES:
You will be required to undertake the following duties:
• Provide supervision, guidance, and direction to all depot team members to ensure efficient operations and teamwork.
• Manage the procurement and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel.
• Engaging with both internal and external customers, addressing their needs, and ensuring the timely delivery of freight, while providing exceptional customer service.
• Engaging with clients to understand their needs and offering advice and information on vehicle options, purchase or hire rates, obligations, and handling customer complaints.
• Liaise with the Tully Workshop to address vehicle maintenance issues, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules, and keeping company vehicles in a clean, tidy, and roadworthy condition.
• Ensure that goods are stored and transported under optimal conditions to preserve their quality.
• Monitor payroll hours and provide a working roster focused on minimal hours.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized depot environment.
• Coordinate the collection and delivery of vehicles and goods.
• Facilitate activities related to the arrival, departure, loading, and unloading of trains.
• Assists in managing budget / cash flow by ensuring costs are kept to a minimum.
• Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

SALARY
The position will provide a salary from $80,000 - $100,000 per annum negotiated based upon your qualifications and experience.
