About the opportunity We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Director of Health Information Services to join our health Services leadership team. The Director Health Information Services is a critical management position within Mercy Health Services Victoria. The primary function of the role is to direct and drive improvement initiatives to deliver a future state aligning with Mercy Health's strategic direction and values. To be successful in this role, you will need significant experience and exposure to new innovation and development in Health Information Service systems, specifically, electronic document systems, record management, data management and Health Informatics. You will be adaptable to change and able to explore and initiate new ways of working in line with technological developments and service requirements. In addition to leading and overseeing innovative projects; the Director of Health Information Services will advance implementation of recommendations from significant sector wide reports and strengthen our partnerships with local health services. To thrive in this role, you will have:
Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent and eligibility for full membership of the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA).
Demonstrated experience in building and leading a skilled and motivated team.
Sound knowledge of activity based funding.
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to develop, refine and maintain a diverse stakeholder group.
Demonstrated high level of communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
