About the role
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who is accountable for practice at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the unit and with other members of the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, general practitioners and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). This role provides the delivery of clinical care and support specific to Diabetes Service within a outpatient and inpatient setting.
The Clinical Nurse provides contemporary clinical leadership and care within a specific area supporting the general function of the unit through the application of best practice principles, education, leadership and portfolio management in the application and role modelling of professional nursing practice standards in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA).
