Moranbah North Mine are seeking a Health and Hygiene Officer to join the site Safety & Health team on a full-time, permanent basis with Anglo American. The Health and Hygiene Officer will provide services and support the execution of key occupational health and hygiene processes at the Operation, by providing support to the Site’s Occupational Health Superintendent and Occupational Hygiene Specialist, as well as the broader Site Safety and Health team.

The Health and Hygiene Officer will support injury management, fitness for work and medical surveillance programs, management of workplace health exposures, occupational hygiene sampling plan and risks and health and wellbeing promotional and prevention activities and programs. 

The key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Support the Occupational Health Superintendent in the execution of the Operation’s injury management and workers’ compensation processes.
• Support the Occupational Hygiene Specialist in the coordination of all aspects of the Site’s onsite occupational hygiene sampling program, including contractor onboarding, entering sampling schedules into necessary planning systems, escorting contractor/s onsite, issuing letters to individuals following period of sampling.
• Support the Occupational Health Superintendent in the management of Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme Health Assessments, including reviewing and escalating higher risk cases to Occupational Health Superintendent in line with site protocols.
• Support the execution of the onsite drug and alcohol management program, including ordering of drug and alcohol testing supplies, reviewing and reviewing medication declarations form and escalating at risk cases to the Occupational Health Superintendent.
• Provide advice on injury classifications in accordance with Anglo American definition documents.
• Act as a systems administrator for site Hazardous Substances IT management system (e.g., ChemAlert).
• Maintain appropriate stock / inventory and calibrations for first aid supplies and first aid facilities.
• Facilitate site health programs such as fit testing program and prescription safety glasses program.
• Ensure application of safety and health principles in all operational and non-operational interactions.
• Ensure compliance with Anglo American requirements.

As a Parks Asset Management Officer you will assist in providing high quality, tidy and safe Parks and Reserves within the Hume municipality.

What you’ll be doing:

• Undertake programmed and reactive park maintenance duties
• Conduct maintenance and repair of various hard assets and infrastructure in parks such as, but not limited to, reserve fencing, furniture, shelters, gravel paths, retaining walls, park signage, etc.
• Operate plant and equipment relevant to the park asset management task and ensure it is maintained to a high level.
• Perform minor reactive pruning, branch collection and mulching works, minor turf preparation of sports fields, parks and nature strips, and minor soft and hard landscaping works.
• Undertake other park asset management tasks commensurate with skills to ensure a high level of park and reserve presentation.
• Inspect and report on the condition of park and reserve assets to ensure they are maintained and presented to a high standard.

• Conduct minor soft and hard landscaping rectification works in a team environment.
• Assist in constructing, installing, maintaining and renewing minor park assets, including retaining walls, park furniture, bollards, fences (post and rail), signs, paving and hard pavement soil edge levels, etc.
• Conduct and monitor programmed and reactive maintenance activities on Parks and Reserves.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

• Certificate III in Landscape or other relevant qualification and commensurate on the job training
• Relevant experience with Parks maintenance principles and the operating of equipment relevant to Parks and Reserve management.
• The ability to apply a range of Skills and Hand Tools for various Park Maintenance tasks
• Demonstrated experience in organising daily resource requirements, processes and equipment for programmed and reactive works programs.
• Ability to maintain full and accurate records, including daily works reports, programmed and reactive works progress reports, and park asset audit data records.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with contractors and other staff in a team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to gain cooperation and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Proven ability in recognising improvements and work practice opportunities.
• Current Driver’s Licence with minimum MR Truck drivers’ endorsement (HR Truck Driver’s Licence desirable.)
• Forklift and F/E Loader License desirable

As a Senior Collections Officer, you will negotiate payment plans, manage overdue accounts, assess for legal escalation, and handle financial hardship cases. You’ll also oversee accounts in liquidation or bankruptcy, address escalations, and maintain compliance with debt collection laws while collaborating with the team.

What you will be doing:

• Work directly with customers to negotiate affordable and sustainable payment arrangements that aim to bring overdue accounts back into good standing.
• Employ skip tracing techniques and tools to locate customers
• Conduct thorough reviews of accounts, analysing payment histories, previous collection efforts, and current financial status to determine the best course of action for recovery.
• Assess when accounts should be escalated to external solicitors or collection agencies for legal action. Prepare and present supporting documentation, including payment history, due diligence, and any efforts made to resolve the debt before escalation.
• Evaluate and manage financial hardship cases, conducting Statements of Financial Position and determining the best solutions for both the customer and the business.
• Handle administrative tasks related to accounts under liquidation or bankruptcy
• Be the first point of contact for escalated cases, resolving complex or sensitive customer issues with professionalism and expertise.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to provide guidance on challenging accounts.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, payment plans, and legal processes. Regularly report on account statuses, escalations, and recovery progress to the Collections Manager and Head of Collections.
• Stay informed of relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection, bankruptcy, and financial hardship to ensure all actions comply with industry standards.
