The System Accounting Chapter supports delivery in the Finance & Actuarial Transformation & Systems Centre of Excellence (CoE) as it continues to develop, enhance, and maintain financial systems, financial process plus ensure integrity of financial data and associated controls. The Chapter continues to support Finance & Actuarial SMTs during Transformation and Integrations as well as running the business.


System Accountants bridge the Finance & Actuarial team and our technical Oracle experts -> all System Accountants have an accounting qualification with financial system expertise. They understand the current state of financial system data flows, controls, and processes, including customer payment/receipting functionality, that forms a basis of RLA’s financial transactions and reports. Their craft includes the design, analysis and review of financial systems and associated financial processes and controls

A day in your (potential) life as a Claims Consultant:

• Responding to new and existing home insurance claim enquiries through a variety of channels (phone, web, email, etc.). 
• Educating customers on the Honey products and services. 
• Supporting our customers through their claim process efficiently. 
• Working with claims supply chain to get customers back in their pre-loss position quickly and easily.
• Gathering feedback from customer conversations and sharing opportunities for process and system improvement with the broader Honey Product & Engineering teams.
• Responding to customer complaints as they arise, and working with colleagues to improve internal processes.

Our ideal candidates possess:

• A passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• The ability to work on a rotating roster between the hours of 8am - 7pm Sydney time.
• Experience in a customer facing role (Claims and Contact Centre preferred, however not essential).
• The ability to connect with customers, ask probing questions and identify the right Honey solutions to suit their needs.
• Great written and verbal communication with a high level of confidence communicating with customers through various channels.

Prior experience in a comparable role such as Procurement Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Commercial Analyst is preferred. You are able to work autonomously but also know when to seek for support at the right time with the ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Skills Sound Analytical and Financial/Commercial modelling skills. Must have prior experience with manipulation of large volumes of spend and data sets Experience with production of visually attractive and informative reports to support the Indirect Procurement team with the various Procurement activities Knowledge to design, construct and maintain clear, accurate and detailed analytical spend reports and dashboards Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Pivot tables, lookups, and macro programming Experience with PowerBi desirable Ability to Interpret financial data to recognise changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators and thinking through solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sound commercial acumen.
