About the Role:

The Environmental Contracts Trader is responsible for the development and implementation of sophisticated and high-value contracts trading strategies aimed at maximising the value of AGL’s Renewable, Energy Efficiency and Carbon portfolios. The position involves decision making, analysis and supervision of the development of sophisticated computer models, dealing with risk, uncertainty and probability. Specific responsibilities include:

• Pricing of voluntary and mandatory environmental products and certificates for Retail and Wholesale customers 
• Development and implementation of trading and contracting strategies
• Identification and execution of trading opportunities and recognition of key risks in the environmental markets in order to optimise risk and returns
• Critical and informed decision making in high pressure situations
• Undertake all trading activities within risk management limits and approved delegations
• Draw conclusions from market analysis and communicate them effectively in order to explain past outcomes and make informed decisions
• Analyse causes and implications of market events.  Estimate future effects and provide relevant advice to internal stakeholders
• Use judgement and an understanding of commercial requirements to translate problems from real world to mathematical models and back again, and effectively communicate outcome
• Analyse and estimate current and potential risks, and effectively assess the qualitative and quantitative implications for the business
• Monitor market and technological developments to ensure the environmental trading team remains suitably resourced and skilled with up-to-date trading information

About You:

You will ideally have advanced analytical and conceptual skills that have developed through your experience in a trading or highly analytical career, where you have gained exposure to environmental schemes. You will be a problem solver who can operate and make decisions in a high pressure and ambiguous environment.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics, finance, physical science, economics, econometrics, engineering or similar quantitative disciplines
• An understanding of environmental markets in Australia and internationally, including LRET, SRES, ESS, PDRS, VEU and voluntary and mandatory carbon schemes
• Exposure to environmental trading and a minimum of 2 to 3 years in a trading role or similar
• Advanced attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Advanced communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships
• AFMA accreditation, or the intention to work towards obtaining accreditation

About the role

We are looking for someone to deliver and conduct Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance tests for the MedHealth Group on a monthly and quarterly basis to assess financial reporting controls and procedures.

About the Role:

As the Senior Originator for Power, Environmental and Carbon, you will be responsible for leading the negotiation of both long term and short term commercial agreements. These transactions will align with AGL’s wholesale portfolio value and risk management objectives and contribute to our Climate Transition Action Plan. Origination combines a broad range of skills across business development, negotiation, commercial, project development, corporate finance and critical analysis of market dynamics.

What you’ll be doing:

• Originating contracting opportunities to fulfill AGL’s strategic objectives to transition to a low carbon portfolio
• Lead complex and bespoke negotiations, document transactions and implementation of commercial arrangements. Typical transactions will range from $30m to $200m.  Transactions will cover power purchase agreements, offtake agreements, energy storage agreements, carbon agreements, and complex customer sales contracts,
• Managing relationships with market participants, customers, project developers and market operators
• Providing guidance to other teams within Integrated Energy, Environmental Energy Trading Team, Power Trading and Treasury Risk, Corporate Development and Finance
• Develop business cases to support transactions with the support of the analytical team, working with a wide range of internal stakeholders to bring deals to fruition
• Managing supply agreements existing in the portfolio, including establishing processes to enforce contract specifications and resolve conflict where breaches or non-compliance occur.
• Identify and develop opportunities for AGL to expand its activities in existing markets

About You:

You will ideally have an existing network of strong relationships and a deep understanding of the wholesale energy market and contracting arrangements through your extensive experience in the commercial sector.

• Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Engineering or another quantitative discipline
• Experience leading large complex negotiations in the wholesale energy market and/or carbon markets

The Role

On behalf of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), AHA's team of data collection officers will work with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants to collect data that will help the NDIA measure the impact of the NDIS on its participants and inform quality improvements to the scheme.

The role involves making outbound calls to people with a disability who are registered with the NDIS (and/or a carer/family member) to collect accurate data about their experience of the NDIS.

Working days are Monday to Friday and the team work between 9am to 8pm. Each team member completes one 12-8pm shift per week, with the remainder being 9-5pm. There is the option for full-time or part-time hours (minimum 22.5 hours), with the possibility of ongoing work.

This is not a typical call centre role. The focus will be on engaging NDIS participants and families/carers with empathy and patience to collect high quality data. It is not just focused on efficiency and KPIs.

We're looking for people with the attitude and aptitude to utilise their skills in this important role. This role would be well suited to people who have worked in the disability, health, education or social services sector, or people who are currently studying in a relevant discipline.
