The Role

We’re currently recruiting for a Collections Officer to join our Docklands office, managing end-to-end Collection Activity for an assigned portfolio of Local and export Customers.

Reporting to the Collections Manager - Non-Grocery, your main responsibility will be to deliver efficient and effective management of several partner accounts, including timely processing of all payments and deductions whilst managing compliance with terms.

This is a Hybrid position, mixing between Bega's Docklands office and working from home arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Account Management for medium transactional Accounts across multiple sites.

• Management of all Customer Queries, and Reconciliations

• Daily / Weekly Payment Allocation.

• Timely processing of customer payments, remittances, deductions and associated follow-up

• Deliver on collection activity KPIs  

• Tradespend processing.

About you

• A strong customer focus and stakeholder engagement skills

• Accounts receivable and credit management and process knowledge

• Strong reconciliation skills and good knowledge about rebates and deductions.

• Experience with an ERP system, ideally SAP

• Ability to add value and input to continuous improvement projects.

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the candidate will be responsible for driver/sub-contractor online training, co-ordination, and planning. This role is also responsible for maintaining compliance related records, in addition to 00% compliance across all PE Altona North fleets.

• Ensuring all contractors are enrolled in online compliance training and complete courses allocated.

• Manage weekly compliance reports reporting to State Management Team.

• Manage daily contractor fatigue reports.

• Conducting Annual contractor vehicle inspections

• Entering all relevant master data and creating new contractor profiles.

• Assist/advise managers and other members of the operations team to ensure contractor compliance.

• Ensure the correct use of company systems to correctly pay contractors and charge customers.

• Liaising with Financial Reporting Team (revenue assurance/payables) where appropriate.

• Ensure all required reporting is correct and on time.

• Daily audit all subcontractor compliance records as set by State Operations Managers and Recruitment & Training Co-ordinators.

• Other task as set from time to time by Fleet Resources Manager or State Manager.

The Role

As safety and wellbeing is one of Bega’s Group main priorities, we have a newly created role at our Strathmerton site for a passionate and people-focused individual to join the site as a Safety and Wellbeing Officer to own, oversee and define safety and wellbeing policies and provide safety and wellbeing guidance.

In this unique opportunity, you will support the site’s Safety Advisor with developing, implementing, and monitoring programs to prevent injuries or health impairment.

You will be integral in improving safety performance at the site by positively influencing site safety practices and behaviours on a strategic and operational level. You will engage with the site’s workforce to increase safety maturity and awareness of day-to-day operations and activities. Flexible work arrangements (as agreed with your manager) are available, noting this role is based full-time at an operational manufacturing site.

Our Strathmerton, site is located on the Victoria-New South Wales border and is where our various cheese products get processed, wrapped, and packaged into various forms ready for distribution throughout Australia and export.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the site leadership team, internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement site initiatives on various communication and training strategies around preventative injury management.  

• Minimise risk exposures and ensure adherence to regulatory standards by working with all internal functions to ensure compliance programs are appropriately implemented and maintained.

• Act as a Safety and Wellbeing SME by advising on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues, and escalating Safety issues as required.

• Championing safety by constantly looking at Process Improvement initiatives and ways to increase safety performance and engagement.

• Simplify and support with the translation of Bega’s corporate policies around safety and wellbeing and ensure a high level of understanding and clarity from the site’s employees. 

About you

• Ability to showcase commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others.

• Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment and familiarity with safety policies and procedures.

• Qualifications in related fields, such as WHS, Welling, and Injury Management/ RTW, will be an advantage.

• Ability to influence decision-making and make a positive impact on both internal and external stakeholders.

• Has strong computer and technical skills and enjoys learning new systems when required.
