Salary: $115,000 p.a. to $125,000 p.a. plus super, negotiable dependant on experience.

Multicom Resources is a Queensland-based exploration and minerals refining company focused on discovering and developing world-class mineral deposits. Among its key projects is the Saint Elmo Project, located in the Northwest Minerals Province of Queensland. This project is advancing the production of vanadium and high-purity alumina, essential resources for global technology manufacturers.
About the role:
As a Control Room Operator at Scidell, you will play a vital role in the operations of the Saint Elmo Mine's mineral processing plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position involves monitoring and optimizing plant equipment using advanced HMI systems and automated controls. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring plant safety, efficiency, and compliance with production goals and regulatory standards.
This is a full-time role operating on a rotating roster.
Key Requirements:
-A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as a Control Room Operator, or within a related field, such as mining or mineral processing.
-A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge about process plant operations.
-Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting HMI and automated control systems (e.g., DCS, SCADA).
-Strong problem-solving skills to assess process disturbances and implement corrective actions effectively.
-Attention to detail to monitor plant conditions and identify operational changes.
-A commitment to maintaining safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor and control plant equipment using modern HMI and automated systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
-Detect and respond to changes in process conditions and troubleshoot equipment issues.
-Collaborate with field operators and maintenance personnel to resolve process disruptions.
-Coordinate plant start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency operations to minimize downtime.
-Review plant performance data to identify trends and implement process optimizations.
-Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing plant efficiency.
-Maintain compliance with safety protocols and assist in training new operators.
