About the role:
As a Senior Software Engineer. You will work closely with developers, testers, Devops developers and business analysts in an agile team to design, build, implement and test quality technical solutions.
What you will be doing:
Be involved in the full software development life cycle including designing, coding, testing, implementing, and maintaining software that is delivered on time and within budget.
Designing, programming, debugging, and testing software enhancements
Interacting with product owners and business analysts to define/translate requirements and modifications into product designs
Participate in Agile scrum ceremonies: Daily stand-ups, design workshops, story grooming and sizing, and retrospectives
Provide recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
Responsibilities may also include participation in architecture design, performance monitoring and feature estimations. You will ensure solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architecture, compliance, and security standards.
What you will need:
Experience with object-orientated, service-oriented architecture and domain-driven design in the design and development of applications.
At least 6+ years of relevant experience in a commercial environment
At least 6 years of hands-on experience with .NET, C#, Angula, JavaScript, WCF, Web Services, NUnit, ADO.NET, HTML5, and CSS.
3+ years of hands-on experience with data modeling, database schema design, and SQL programming on SQL Server.
Must have permanent working rights in Australia and capable of working onsite in Sydney
Experience with the Microsoft IDE.
Sound analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
A high degree of numeracy and a capacity for complex concepts.
A positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
A team player, who can also work independently under minimum supervision.
Able to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
Possesses the desire to increase knowledge and skills when circumstances call for additional learning.
Bachelor's degree in a computer science discipline or equivalent professional experience.
Added bonus if you have:
Background with Corporate treasury, finance knowledge, payment processing or banking is a big plus.
Exposure to Jenkins, Git / Bitbucket
Experience in a SaaS environment.
Experience with the agile development process and developing code in alignment with coding standards and business processes
