Solve Important Problems

The Platform Team is responsible for reliability, security, delivery costs and performance, as well as for the sophisticated suite of CI development tooling that empowers all Stile engineers to rapidly test and safely deploy new features many times each day. Stile's infrastructure is all managed through Terraform, run in Docker containers, deployed automatically through CD pipelines, and auto-scaled minute-by-minute to match our traffic patterns - running Stile is a hands-free experience.

As a Platform Team member you will first and foremost be a great software engineer. You'll be charged with architecting and delivering robust software to automate and scale solutions for many different problems across the team's various responsibilities.

As the team's new Cost Efficiency Lead, your focus will be on optimising delivery costs, in particular AWS expenses. You will be expected to innovate and execute on a cost-savings roadmap, build investigation and monitoring tools to track down anomalies, dive into our hourly billing data to hunt for patterns, and provide consultation to other engineers on how to optimise their designs. Your work will touch many areas of the application and infrastructure, giving you an excellent grounding in the overall tech stack used at Stile.

Overall, you will be responsible to one key metric - bringing the bill within budget and keeping it there. You will be supported in achieving that goal, but ultimately have a great deal of autonomy in how you get there provided the number is heading in the right direction.

Oncall

All platform team members participate in a 24-7 oncall roster. Shifts are two weeks long, and typically occur about twice per quarter (once as primary, and once as backup). Incidents outside of business hours are rare, and team members on-call outside of hours receive an extra week of annual leave per year as compensation for being available. Additionally, team members are expected to take time-in-lieu within the week if significant work is needed outside of business hours.

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our team in Melbourne on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will drive product adoption and usage among purchasing schools, manage relationships, and ensure our clients maximise the value of their subscriptions. Your efforts will preserve and grow revenue while ensuring client success.

What you will do

• Drive product adoption and usage across a portfolio of purchasing schools
• Actively manage school relationships to maximise the lifetime value of assigned accounts, ensuring client success and revenue growth
• Renewal management of owned accounts including identifying risks, invoice and subscription management
• Identify upsell opportunities and work closely with our Sales Operations team
• Manage invoices and subscriptions, ensuring unpaid invoices are addressed
• Drive your portfolio of schools to complete EP's Best Practice Course and increase webinar attendance
• Regularly connect with teachers and key decision-makers, developing positive relationships and providing proactive support and care to schools, key contacts and heads of departments
• Keep accurate records in our CRM system, maintaining up-to-date contact details and data hygiene for portfolio schools
• Ensure all classes are successfully enrolled in a timely manner
• Attend meetings and collaborate with various teams to stay informed on product developments
• Support Education Perfect platform expansion by identifying opportunities and assisting BDMs
• Use health metrics to identify at-risk schools and formulate intervention plans, including executive tasks relevant to churn mitigation and follow 'At Risk' mitigation steps
• Understand the competitive landscape and communicate local requirements to Product & Content Teams

About Us 

Online Education Services (OES) is an education provider that partners with universities to provide purposefully designed and highly engaging online programs. This position will be working within OES in association with Queensland University of Technology Online.

QUT Online delivers world-class learning though degrees specifically designed for the online student. Each degree is tailored to provide opportunities for students who are often unable to undertake university studies on campus.

At QUT Online, the student is at the forefront of everything we do. This role is an opportunity to support and guide our students through their learning journey. Our Online Learning Advisers (OLAs) are the subject matter experts who facilitate the student’s learning, with a focus on helping them achieve their goals.

What You Will Do

Our OLAs are responsible for the following:

• Providing an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team 
• Facilitating learning activities that engage and support student learning 
• Undertaking assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines 

Online Learning Advisers are not required to establish curriculum, design learning activities, schedule learning and teaching, set assessments or develop marking schemes.

Who Are We Looking For?

• You will hold a minimum of Masters level qualification in a relevant discipline eg Education
• 5+ years experience working with Education, industry or community partners in Adult learning.
• 5+ years experience in designing learning experiences that apply Andragogical and pedagogical design principles.
• Knowledge of the Australian education system or ability to acquire this in timely manner
• High level of spoken and written English.
• You are motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
• You are a passionate and clear communicator 
• You have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence 
• You are proactive and organised
• You thrive in a remote working environment
