Role Purpose  

You will lead design and development of hardware systems to be integrated into Applied EV products to demonstrate compliance to Applied EV’s system requirements and customer use cases.

Starting from architectural system level requirements you will develop innovative robust engineering solutions at a component and sub-system design level, applying knowledge of detailed design, material selection and manufacturing techniques for low volume manufacturing.

The core deliverable is to release designs, support their manufacture / procurement and to ensure both component and system level validation.  

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:  

• Support architecture and packaging reviews for area of expertise/ownership, provide criteria for acceptance in for each phase of product development.
• Design innovative, integrated, and unique solutions to engineering problems with an ability to articulate your design concepts and constructively critique alternatives.
• Develop and maintain component timing plans which align to master program timing.  Escalate issues with proposed recovery proposal to mitigate overall program risk.
• Support the establishment and ongoing maintenance of internal design standards.
• Undertake DFMEA and DFMA to support design execution.
• Develop and release manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Execute base level FEA where appropriate with support from FEA Lead.
• Develop and execute unit level component tests liaising closely with the Integration & Test team.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years’ experience as a Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer in an automotive or related design role.
• Experience and high proficiency with common engineering tools for CAD modelling, 2D and analysis is necessary. CAD experience with Siemens NX, SolidWorks and Sim solid experience would be of preference.
• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures with competency in GD&T.
• Knowledge and understanding of prototype and low volume production and manufacturing processes.
• Highly analytical mind, with exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• An ability to transpose customer level requirements and industry standards into design criteria for execution. 
• Experience and understanding of Product Release Cycle from prototype to production including key deliverables of each phase. 
• Local and international collaboration from engineering design to component manufacturing. You will have a demonstrated capability of working with other engineering peers to design an optimised solution across an entire system.
• Are skilled in mentoring others and knowledge capture and sharing to assist in capability growth within the engineering teams.

 Other Useful Experience  

•  Experience working closely with electrical and software engineering teams on safety critical systems with human interaction. 
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Industry experience in robotics, automotive, machinery or similar.
• Execution experience in electric mobility technologies, thermal management (component and system level), body structures, chassis systems, braking solutions will be highly regarded. 
• Design or integration experience with high voltage systems.
• Experience in prototyping / proto build events.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.

The Sr Mgr-Digital Tech Lead reports into the Director-Digital Platform Lead and responsible for the development, support and services of the digital platform. The Digital Tech Lead partners with the vendors and Commercial Products and Platforms teams to craft and deliver the solutions to the markets and segment.

The Tech Lead is responsible for the readiness of capabilities and services of the systems within the group ensuring they are secure and standardized and can be easily consumed by the markets. Ensuring the solution and standard processes are consistently applied across all markets.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including market representatives, deployment teams, and development teams
• Lead the readiness assessment of digital platforms and products
• Develop and implement global processes, policies, and standards for digital solutions
• Provide training and support to teams on new digital solutions and processes
• Collaborate with Product and segment teams to align digital solutions with business objectives and market needs
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of digital solutions
• Identify and analyse potential risks associated with digital solutions and implement strategies to mitigate them
• Ensure the quality of digital solutions by establishing and monitoring quality standards and metrics
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in digital solutions to drive continuous improvement and innovation
• Monitor the performance of digital solutions and processes to ensure they meet established goals and benchmarks
• Oversee the allocation and management of resources to support the implementation and maintenance of digital solutions

As the brand & team continue to expand, we are excited to be recruiting for a Graphic Design & Production Coordinator to create and prepare concepts and artwork to support the delivery of seasonal marketing campaigns across multiple platforms and collaborate with internal and external production partners to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Responsibilities include:

●      Concept Development: Generate creative concepts for various projects, including digital advertising, retail POS, events, apparel graphics, packaging and more.

●      Design Execution: Deliver high-quality assets across multiple platforms in alignment with commercial and creative requirements. Assist in photo shoots, editing and general tasks as required.

●      Production: Prepare design briefs and artwork files for external production partners to ensure accurate and timely execution of in store and event marketing collateral.

●      Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple design projects simultaneously from conception to completion, closely following timelines and budget constraints.

●      Collaboration: Build strong relationships with digital, retail and community teams to understand their design needs and ensure a seamless omnichannel experience.

●      Brand Custodian: Maintain brand identity through consistent application of global Brand Guidelines in all visual communication.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of creative design experience preferably in the retail industry.
• Advanced proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and XD
• Video editing experience preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated project management skills. Experience with Asana or Monday is highly desirable
• A deep understanding of current design trends and the outdoor sports industry. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or similar
• Visual Portfolio demonstrating design abilities and body of work.
