As the Traffic Coordinator within the Multichannel Traffic Team, you will be ensuring all commercial inventory is scheduled correctly and ready for telecast as per requirements agreed between the National Sales Team, Clients & Agencies and in line with industry legal requirements (Free TV Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice) and National Traffic policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately produce multiple daily commercial transmission schedules across our multi channels as per our schedule production deadlines
• Ensure all schedules and material application adheres to the requirements of the Television Industry Code of Practice and any further directions from ClearAds
• Ensure all sponsorship spots are scheduled as instructed by the Sponsorship team and any exclusivity clashes are reported to the Sponsorship team asap and prior to finalisation of logs
• Schedule sport as instructed by the Sports sponsorship team
• Service the Network Sales Team’s commercial requirements
• Assist Network Sales with late bookings and produce amendments due to these late changes
• Complete the previous days reconciliation (Debrief) resolving any discrepancies between the scheduled log and the as run log

About the role:
The Asset Accountant plays a crucial role in accurately accounting for the organisation's expanding asset portfolio, ensuring accuracy in reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, and functioning as a vital business partner in asset management. Being a proficient technical accountant, the Asset Accountant adeptly handles the intricate accounting, settlement, and reporting aspects of the organisation's assets, while also being hands-on in issue resolution. The role delivers value through delivering timely, accurate and relevant information to the key decision makers.

Other responsibilities include:

• Manage fixed asset register entries including additions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation.
• Compile monthly reconciliations of fixed asset-related balances for the balance sheet and create quarterly schedules documenting asset movements.
• Prepare fixed asset schedules, management reports, and provide support for quarterly forecasts and annual budget development.
• Monitor and promptly address outstanding Work in Progress balances to ensure timely asset clearance, analysing depreciation movements and offering period-end commentaries on assets.
• Collaborate with project teams on daily transactional tasks and inquiries, perform reconciliation and month-end tasks as directed, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team.
• Maintain an investigative and analytical mindset with keen attention to detail, identifying opportunities for enhancing business performance and assisting with project work and ad-hoc duties as needed.

About you: 

This role would be suitable for a candidate who has a Finance, Accounting or Commerce degree who is CA/CPA qualified, or actively pursuing.

• Proven work exposure in Fixed Asset accounting and proficiency in ERP accounting systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Possess strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Approach tasks with an investigative and analytical mindset, ensuring accuracy and completeness in outcomes.
• Have experience leading process improvement projects and a track record of strong reporting.

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
