How you will make an impact As the Group Health Funds Manager, you will play an integral role in the management of Cabrini's Health Fund and Compensable contracting negotiations and contract performance. This role will see you promote, maintain and enhance external relationships with funders, including oversight of commercial relations and opportunities that reflect Cabrini's strategic partnership, growth and diversification plans with funders. Your success in this role will see you utilise a collaborative management style and subscribe to innovation, change and best practice as a way of continually ensuring you and your team are recognised as 'best in the industry'. Your days will include;
Leading the Health Fund contract review, development and managing negotiations to continually improve contract performance so that the services are delivered within the framework of the Mission, Values and Vision of Cabrini Health Limited.
Working with internal stakeholders to support operational imperatives and managing expectations including identifying opportunities to prevent revenue leakage or to grow revenue.
Promoting the principles of quality improvement and demonstrating a commitment to continuous advancement in practices that support organisational objectives
Positively contributing to cross-sector discussions including policy development and the identification of efficiencies.
Building and maintaining relationships with Private Health funding organisations and other stakeholders/doctors, including periodic meetings with key PHI personnel and stakeholders outside of negotiation timetables.
Overseeing compliance requirements including the provision of accreditation certificates and various reports as required by Health Fund contracts (e.g. Annual reporting requirements) ensuring submission to an adequate standard and meet contractual timeframes.
Working closely with divisional Health Information Services to facilitate performance improvement measures that drive revenue assurance, accuracy and efficiency.
Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant industry practice and changes and be able to assess the impact these changes upon Cabrini Health.
Responsibility for the co-ordination of Health Fund audit activities, including liaising with financial personnel and ensuring internal process improvement where required.
About you To be considered for this role, it is essential to have extensive private hospital/health funding experience and hospital service knowledge gained in a senior leadership role relating to large health fund contract negotiations, revenue or hospital management. In addition, you will bring the following:
Appropriate qualifications commensurate with the position with solid experience in the health sector.
Strong exposure and experience in billing and health funding in the private healthcare sector.
Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
Effective influencing and negotiating skills, with an understanding of planning, data requirements, timeframes, and expected outcomes.
Comfortable and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
Understanding of and commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement to support service growth.
Strong professional and commercial understanding of key drivers in private health, as well as the broader healthcare industry challenges and changes.
Strong analytics experience to derive solutions from data; verbal and written communication skills (including public speaking), and report writing.
Well developed computer skills, knowledge of applications e.g. webPAS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cyberquery, other databases.
