• Authoring and editing safety plans and safety cases using GSN and/or CAE methodologies

• Monitor global challenges and opportunities, identify best growth practices across all markets, and maintain connections with key global players both internally and externally. 

• Attend external events of partners, competitors, and customers to bring knowledge to industry sellers, and use extensive ongoing industry knowledge to define and update industry personas and value propositions for each. 

• Define discovery questions for key personas, collaborate with the value team to define industry value (both quantitative and qualitative). 

• Maintain up-to-date domain assets. Identify gaps in foundational needs such as customer stories, demos, assets, and enablement, creating action plans to address these needs.  

• Sponsor global community task force, and focus groups to share knowledge, drive innovation, and host regular community calls to share and gather information across all geographies. 

• Offer thought-leadership both internally and externally on domain-related topics and actively engage in speaking, teaching, advocating, and championing the mission area in various forums, including webinars, podcasts, EBCs, customer calls, and more as a representative of the sector. 

• Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Solution Consultants on use cases and customer opportunities, enabling teams on relevant solutions. 

• Create and lead of global Center of Excellence on public safety. 

• Integrate, curate, and share use cases globally related to public safety. 

• Partner closely with solution and field marketing to develop relevant and engaging assets. work closely with marketing teams to align assets and events to the GTM strategy. 

• Co-innovate solutions with internal team of Architects, Designers and Developers to reimagine complex customer challenges. 

 

 

As a Site Supervisor at Tech Span Building, you will play a vital role in overseeing the construction of large custom commercial buildings within the Greater Sydney area. This is a new role that requires a hands-on approach, managing projects onsite, coordinating with trades, liaising with site superintendents, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with trades, site superintendents, clients, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
• Coordinate onsite activities, including pre-site inspections, project site visits, WHS Compliance and materials collection as required.
• Manage defects reviews on completed sites, conduct periodic visits to low oversight sites, and ensure WH&S protocols.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager in Armidale for effective communication and project coordination.
• Utilize basic Microsoft skills, create professional emails, work with tools like Smartsheet, and negotiate with subcontractors.
• Be on-site or off-site at 7 am, participating in daily Teams Meetings to plan daily activities.
• Handle office-based tasks, including coordinating SWMS, sending RFQs, managing requisitions, and contributing to Tech Span's values.
• Ensure procurement aligns with Company processes and policy, negotiating pricing, timing, and scope in support of procurement teams where required.
• Monitor ongoing profitability, contribute to End-of-Job reviews, and prepare reports for the leadership team.

• Proven experience in industrial commercial and structural steel construction, including experience with precast projects.
• Sydney-based ensuring efficient coverage of project sites with occasional work-from-home flexibility.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with trades and clients to ensure long-term relationships and project efficiencies
• Physical fitness for on-site inspections and defect reviews.
• Technical proficiency in construction management tools, including Procore and industry platforms.
• Strong ability to interpret construction documents and use tools like Excel for project-related tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interactions.

The role

This is a hands on role, with challenges that vary day to day. As the Project Manager you will manage 20+ medium size quick turn-around projects at any one time with a collective value of $3m+ pa. The successful applicant will be able to manage the following aspects of the role:

• Lead and direct all resources including performing site surveys & commissioning.
• Optimise contractual obligations and profit.
• Strategize, execute, and oversee projects, including design, procurement, and construction functions.
• Conduct regular progress and cost reviews, ensuring project alignment with objectives.
• Highlight and escalate issues in advance of challenges occurring.
• Coordinate client communications, ensuring project completion within set parameters.
• Identify and propose solutions for project challenges, including resourcing issues.
• Oversee project aspects: programming, cost, time, quality control, purchasing, and contracts.
• Hands on management at a site level - including stock management, forecasting (occasionally required to pick, pack and deliver stock to site) & programming or commissioning at site.

About you:

• Experience in the security or related industry preferred.
• Developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with customers, sub-contractors and systems team.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills with 3 years’ experience.
• Hands on approach at a site level (ex installer or technician preferred)
• Sound knowledge of electrical installations / retail construction
