We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager in our Sydney, Brisbane or Perth office to oversee our diverse portfolio of construction and civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor the plans, designs and overseeing the running of large civil and mining infrastructure projects.
• creating and defining project goals and objectives through project planning and scheduling
• analysing each phase of projects to determine budgets by studying engineering drawings and plans to detail costs and estimates.
• tracking project costs and ensuring implementation stays within predicted estimates including material costs and detailed programs for site activities.
• estimating the project timeline and making sure teams adhere to delivery dates.
• managing the human and capital resources of a project to ensure timely delivery.
• ensuring the project has adequate staff to complete each stage on schedule.
• preparing and presenting internal and external project reports for stakeholders
• providing comprehensive project data to teams to help them work more effectively.
• Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the project team, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and labourers. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Prepare and present regular financial reports.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Ensure all regulatory and compliance documentation is up to date.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 18 years of experience in construction project management.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD).
• PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Primavera 6, ASTA ideally
• MRICS, LLM, MCIARB would be beneficial but not essential.
