As the Care and Well-being Manager, you will lead the strategic oversight, development, and implementation of well-being, mental health, and injury management programs across Bosch Australia/NZ. You will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including self-insurance requirements, while fostering a culture of care and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

You bring expertise in workers’ compensation, injury management, and compliance, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Your ability to design and deliver impactful programs, coupled with a focus on continuous improvement, will ensure success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight and Compliance:

• Develop, implement, and oversee national strategies for workers' compensation, injury management, well-being, and mental health.
• Ensure alignment with organisational goals and compliance with all relevant legislation, including self-insurance requirements.

Program Development and Implementation:

• Design and roll out proactive well-being, injury prevention, and mental health initiatives.
• Integrate industry best practices and data-driven insights into programs that foster a safe and supportive work environment.

Claims and Injury Management:

• Lead the management of workers' compensation claims and injury recovery processes.
• Ensure timely, fair, and effective case management to support return-to-work outcomes and minimise organisational risk.

Stakeholder Engagement and Training:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a culture of awareness and promotion for well-being and mental health.
• Provide training and resources for leaders and employees on topics such as mental health awareness and injury management processes.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor, analyse, and report on key metrics and trends in workers' compensation, injury management, and employee well-being.
• Use insights to drive continuous improvement and influence senior leadership decision-making.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage workers’ compensation self-insurance licensing (Victorian experience preferred).
• Oversee national workers’ compensation policies and practices.
• Lead early intervention, injury management, and return-to-work practices.
• Liaise with medical providers for work and non-work-related employee matters.
• Develop and execute proactive well-being programs (desirable).
• Directly manage one position and provide indirect leadership to the internal well-being and injury management networks.

The Opportunity

Lyka is growing quickly, and no two weeks are the same. Our Customer Care team are on the frontline to our customers, answering enquiries and proactively solving any issues that arise. The team also contribute to process improvements that enhance customer experience.

Role responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for our customers (we use livechat, phones and emails as our primary Customer Care channels)
• Resolve customer issues around their account, orders and deliveries and advise customers on a variety of dog nutrition and wellness questions
• Work with Lyka’s operations team to ensure all customer order and delivery requests are executed
• Assist in developing and improving Lyka’s Customer Care knowledge base content
• Foster a growth-oriented, positive and high-performance culture that motivates employees and is aligned to the company's mission
• Live and work in accordance with Lyka’s values and principles at the workplace

• Exceptional customer service skills - helpful and positive attitude and always looking to go above and beyond for customers
• Well-versed verbal and written communication skills with strong English and grammar
• Proficient in using a computer, touch typing and able to learn new tools / systems
• Organised with high attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new topics, such as dog nutrition and wellness
• Resilient, high sense of ownership and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a contact center role is preferable
• Must be able to be rostered across a 7-day working week (rotating roster)
• Must love dogs

Your day will include:

• Domestic Assistance: Assisting our Customers in cleaning their home, so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
• Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping 
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
• Personal care services (once trained), including getting them up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals

• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

What do we look for in a Care Worker? 

• Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including experience with personal care
• You care about assisting our aged community so they can live independently at home for longer. 
• You have a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
• You don’t sweat the small stuff; sometimes your customer will be having a bad day or traffic delays you. You know not to take this personally and to shake it off before your next customer.
• You're comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.
