The CIO Division provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking experienced and motivated Automation Testers to assist with the delivery of various ICT projects across the division.
The Grants Platform Section is an initiative-taking and driven team within the Digital Services for Business Branch in the Chief Information Officer (CIO) division. The Grants Platform section delivers support, sustainment, and enhancements for the Business Grants Management (BGM) System. The BGM system enables digital delivery and management of business grants programs to Australian businesses, organisations, and individuals.
We are looking for Automation Testers who will:
Develop and extend a complex suite of automation tests in C#.
Execute, monitor, and report on the automation tests and record defects.
Use Azure DevOps daily for managing user stories, test plans, source control, and release pipelines.
Contribute to the testing strategy and support the implementation of automation testing best practices.
Be a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team using agile and traditional delivery methods.
Promote web accessibility and test for conformance to web accessibility guidelines.
Candidate Selection Criteria:
Essential Criteria:
Extensive programming experience with C# & .NET for large complex codebases that follows industry best practices and design patterns.
Experience writing automated regression tests for web applications using browser-automation frameworks such as Selenium.
Experience in producing test artefacts and contributing to test strategies. Experience with agile software development in a cross-functional team.
Demonstrated knowledge of web accessibility and testing to guidelines such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Demonstrated ability to express yourself clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable criteria:
Experience in developing automation tests for Dynamics 365 using Easy Repro.
Experience with distributed performance and load testing.
Experience with integration automation tests into CI/CD processes.
