Eku Energy is seeking a Communications Manager for our global business. In this pivotal role, you will lead the communication and engagement function, playing a crucial part in supporting Eku Energy's global business expansion.

As a key contributor to our team, you will collaborate across various departments, overseeing global communications, marketing, media, and stakeholder engagement for our battery storage investments and operations. As the Communications Manager, your responsibilities will include executing strategic communication initiatives, fostering engagement, and strengthening our presence in existing and new markets.

This role offers flexibility in terms of location within the APAC region, ethier in Melbourne or Sydney, and will have operational reporting to the Senior Manager Policy and Regulation APAC, while functionally aligning with the People and Culture group structure under the leadership of the Chief Human Resources Officer. Responsibilities of the role

·       Design and manage Eku’s global media, communications and engagement strategy. 

·       Enhance and protect Eku’s brand reputation, acting as brand guardian and ambassador internally and externally. 

·       Lead media activity and engagement, working with external agencies as appropriate, to prepare and distribute press releases, engage media and ensure consistent, targeted and high-quality coverage globally. 

·       Oversee the development of all communications collateral to support company announcements, milestones and public engagement activities. 

·       Brief senior executives and the global business, preparing proactive key messages and collateral to support internal and external activities (i.e. presentations, investor briefings, media relations). 

·       Manage and continuously improve Eku’s online presence including web, LinkedIn and other modes of engagement, including media monitoring. 

·       Oversee and coordinate the company’s global events calendar and attendance, including pitching for speaker opportunities as appropriate, and ensuring all company attendees are briefed and supported appropriately. 

·       To be responsible and to design and deliver community and stakeholder engagement strategies at a project and portfolio level. 

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, partners, media, suppliers, local communities, First Nations representatives and broader project stakeholders. 

·       Design, implement and oversee Eku’s Community Grants and Partnership initiatives. 

·       Support internal communications, including intranet development, and work with the People & Culture department to develop our employee brand and offering. 

·       Work collaboratively across the global organisation to coordinate and drive marketing and communication efforts, including the management of third-party suppliers and agencies. 

·       Manage, monitor and report on the effectiveness and impact of communications activity and spend globally. 

·       Develop and implement robust policies and frameworks for communications activities (e.g. approval processes, crisis management plans, social media policies).

Competencies of the role

·       Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant field.

·       6+ years’ work experience in marketing and communications. 

·       Proven ability to create, manage and deliver strategic communications plans globally.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement.

·       Knowledge and track record of working in renewable energy and battery storage industry, project development, infrastructure and investments is favourable.

·       Exceptional organisational skills with ability to manage projects and budgets, often under time pressure, to meet multiple deadlines.

·       Strong team player who can build and maintain internal and external relationships at a senior level.

·       Excellent attention to detail.

·       Self-starter who can work independently in both strategy and execution, in a fast-paced environment.

·       Additional language skills are a strong preference but not required.

We’re looking for a creative Social Media Manager to take ownership of social output for a number of global clients.

You will have a proven background (min. three years) in publishing or agency, and be comfortable concepting social ideas that get online communities fired up — particularly across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.

You will be working directly with clients, leading always-on activity from ideation to execution across both consumer and corporate worlds. So you’ll be a calm and capable communicator with a solutions-focused mentality.

About the Job

The GM Strategy is one of the most critical, senior influencing and cross-functional leadership roles at Rest. To utilize food handling techniques that are in line with current Health and Hygiene regulation You will be responsible for organising an assigned section and will need to ensure it runs efficiently and productively.

As the Technology Cost and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating the costs associated with technology initiatives, analysing their benefits, and providing recommendations to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximum value for Technology and the organisation.

Additionally, you will lead a team to provide operational planning, dependencies management, reporting, financial management, ensuring seamless coordination with the broader Technology deliverables.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, financial stakeholders, and technology leaders to drive informed decision-making in technology investments. It also involves establishing and upholding a comprehensive Value Management Framework to assess, track and optimise the value derived from technology investments and spend.
 

Key Accountabilities:

• Establish and uphold a comprehensive Value Management Framework to assess and optimise the value derived from technology investments and spend.
• Actively manage the enterprise value management framework with focus on ensuring all work to be delivered by Technology has a clear outcome and measurable benefit and realisation plan defined, signed off by Sponsor and Business Owner, planned for with Finance and then is frequently tracked and reported on. Provision of actionable insights will be key as these will feed through to Steering Committees
• Drive business management practices within our Technology teams
• Ensure alignment with the overarching Technology strategy and contribute to the budget planning process.
• Develop input for internal and external reporting; material for tenders, contractual review summaries, scheduling and minuting agreed governance meetings.
• Assure delivery of maximum value within budget and with minimum risk while quickly responding to changing business needs and demand across the portfolio. Strategic cost management across the total Technology portfolio and insightful reporting to Leadership Team required.
• Drive business impact through creation of new Commercial Management tools/processes (or optimisation and automation of existing ones) that solve for team-wide pain points and opportunities.
• Set up best practice frameworks for governance, risk identification & management, vendor management, value management, strategic planning & reporting.
• Develop and maintain Technology Dashboard to measure operational effectiveness and impact. Co-ordinate input for Board and external reporting as required.
• Direct adoption of vendor management best practices – managing key inputs for strategic vendor meetings directly.
• Manage and optimise the current budgeting process & BAU business management – Supporting SoWs, BAU reporting, contracts, invoices
• Drive structured approach to managing cost-to-income (cost base diligence) improvements across Technology Delivery, working with Platform Leads to set, track and report benefits ( cost reduction and avoidance). Maintain refreshed TCO profiles.
• Active participation and ownership of strategic focus areas covering workforce management, operating model, vendor management, technology obsolescence & simplification and technology acceleration.
• Lead and coach team to provide consistency in process, service and stakeholder support through process.
• Drive the annual strategic budget setting process for Technology Delivery – with input from broader Technology Leadership Team, ensuring strong alignment across strategy-> budget->delivery goals with focus on what is required to deliver and impacts of change.
