As our new Senior Secondary Design Engineer – Substations based in Sydney, you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based in Sydney on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to varied and challenging projects locally in Sydney and across Australia.

Your role will include the following:

• Conduct, lead, review and verify detail designs and technical reports for the client, including substation secondary systems.
• Lead and deliver the concept to detailed Design of HV substation Secondary systems
• Secondary systems design – produce SLDs, HV substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and short circuit force calculations
• Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems.
• Key areas of focus include HV transmission and distribution substations' secondary systems electrical design, encompassing protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, protection and control room layout.
• Ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
• Undertake site inspections and associated reporting.
• Liaise with clients and contractors in relation to project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution.

What are we looking for from you?

• Bachelor degree qualification in electrical (or related) engineering.
• 5-10 years experience in substation secondary design, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities
• Strong electrical design skills; in particularly secondary systems and substations
• Proficiency in offering solutions to technical challenges. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective influencing, motivation, and delegation skills."

As a member of the AutoStore specialized System Design Team you will work in collaboration with our sales force in supporting the organization’s worldwide customer network with technical expertise and know-how.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the sales organisation with data analysis, designs and simulations for customer projects
• Review, optimise and support partners on customer concepts

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  The Content Creative team’s mission is to build the most valuable content library in the world to inspire our users to create their next design. We work collaboratively across the Content & Discovery group, and other groups to identify & implement opportunities to drive user engagement through content. This group will be focused on developing the world’s most inspiring and valuable library of photos, videos, animations, illustrations, graphics, fonts, and more. An exciting opportunity has become available for a Design & Technical Services Manager, Pacific to join our team. You will be responsible for the interpretation of incoming project opportunities, ongoing project management and proposal of design concepts to improve product delivery across the Pacific region.  

Getting to know the role and your responsibilities.

• Prepare the project hotel space program and analyse spatial requirements to ensure efficiency and functionality.
• Coordinate and integrate the information supplied by Accor experts (standards and specifications for design, construction, MEP & specialized equipment and OS&E)
• Provide Development assistance such as area scheduling (space planning), project programming and reviewing of plans, layouts and project documentation for all premium, mid-scale and economy brands.
• Review, offer potential improvements and approve design documentation.
• Attend regular project team meetings to ensure that the AccorHotels standards (design, operation, maintenance, etc.) of the different hotels are met.
• Propose opportunities / design concepts for improvements to core brand standards.
• Assist during the pre-opening phase including defect inspection, and handover review.
• Maintain awareness of market leading technologies and concepts required to ensure future proofing of design development.
