As our new Senior Secondary Design Engineer – Substations based in Sydney, you'll play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients. Working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based in Sydney on a wide variety of projects of our Energy & Industrial service group, getting exposure to varied and challenging projects locally in Sydney and across Australia.

Your role will include the following:

• Conduct, lead, review and verify detail designs and technical reports for the client, including substation secondary systems.
• Lead and deliver the concept to detailed Design of HV substation Secondary systems
• Secondary systems design – produce SLDs, HV substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and short circuit force calculations
• Understand the critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems.
• Key areas of focus include HV transmission and distribution substations' secondary systems electrical design, encompassing protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, protection and control room layout.
• Ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
• Undertake site inspections and associated reporting.
• Liaise with clients and contractors in relation to project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution.

What are we looking for from you?

• Bachelor degree qualification in electrical (or related) engineering.
• 5-10 years experience in substation secondary design, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Knowledge of the transmission and distribution industry, standards, and codes in Australia and/or design experience with Australian electrical utilities
• Strong electrical design skills; in particularly secondary systems and substations
• Proficiency in offering solutions to technical challenges. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including effective influencing, motivation, and delegation skills."
• Ability to work well with others to deliver as a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Inquisitive nature and desire to grow your career.

To facilitate the growth of our Australian team of two, we are looking for a System Design Analyst in Sydney to join our System Design Team and help us achieve our goals in the region. As a member of the AutoStore specialized System Design Team you will work in collaboration with our sales force in supporting the organization’s worldwide customer network with technical expertise and know-how.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supporting the sales organisation with data analysis, designs and simulations for customer projects
• Review, optimise and support partners on customer concepts
• Support with new releases of test, improvements and documentation of design tools
• Deliver technical training on best practice when using design software to global distributors and internal sales team
• Improving internal operations and processes through automation of simple tasks etc.
• Proactively provide technical support for the sales organisation internally and externally

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical Engineering, mechatronics other technical sciences or logistics and supply chain management
• Proficient in data analysis
• Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in engineering, solutions or logistics design
• Understanding of logistical processes & experiences from material handling industry
• Interested and skilled presenter and trainer
• Solution design capability
• Comfortable with Microsoft 365 – advanced excel skills

  Canva would not exist without content. Our templates, photos, fonts, stock media and more play a critical and pivotal role in empowering our users to design anything and publish anywhere. Content has far reaching business impact and is a key driver of user acquisition, retention and revenue

  The Content Creative team’s mission is to build the most valuable content library in the world to inspire our users to create their next design. We work collaboratively across the Content & Discovery group, and other groups to identify & implement opportunities to drive user engagement through content. This group will be focused on developing the world’s most inspiring and valuable library of photos, videos, animations, illustrations, graphics, fonts, and more. Working to ensure that our content is Truly Local, the Content Creative sub-group has a global remit to create and acquire the most relevant, high quality content from around the world.
